Charles Robert Sherman was an Ohio Supreme Court justice and father of eleven children, including General William Tecumseh Sherman and senator John Sherman. After his death in 1829, several children went to live with other families.

He served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio.
CAREER
DEATH
Sherman became ill while holding court in Lebanon, Ohio, and died there on June 24, 1829. He was first buried in Lebanon and was later reinterred at Elmwood Cemetery in Lancaster.
