Charles Cornwallis, 2nd Marquess Cornwallis (1774–1823), was the son of the British general who surrendered at Yorktown. Educated at Eton and Cambridge, he entered Parliament for Eye in 1795 and represented Suffolk until inheriting the marquessate in 1805. He commanded the East Suffolk Militia and served as Master of the Buckhounds from 1807 until his death.
