Benjamin Gorham (1775–1855) was a Boston lawyer and Massachusetts congressman, son of Revolutionary leader Nathaniel Gorham. A Harvard graduate of 1795, he served in the state legislature before entering Congress in 1820. He returned in 1827 to fill Daniel Webster’s seat and served again from 1833 to 1835 as an Anti-Jacksonian. After further state service in 1841, he resumed law practice. He died in Boston and was buried in Charlestown’s Phipps Street cemetery.
